I had a whole bunch of stuff I wanted to pull on the kids, but got lazy and didn't end up going to the store, etc. So, I guess it will have to wait until next year. I've never really been a big fan of April Fool's Day. When I was I kid I remember doing some stupid tricks here and there. I am a big fan of Family Fun, so I was reading and got a lot of fun stuff from them. I guess April Fool's Day is more fun when you have kids to mess with :) When the kids came down for breakfast I had put blue food coloring in the bottom of their cereal bowls so that when they poured the milk on top it changed to blue. This was pretty funny to watch, especially since the kids were still kind of waking up and trying to figure out what was going on. Bailey took a few minutes to even notice her milk had changed colors. They started telling me that their milk was blue. I told them that was pretty weird, maybe the milk was bad. Then they suggested that the cereal might be bad, or even something wrong with the bowls. Finally Bailey confronted me about it being an April Fool's joke. Later that day I printed out a fake brochure for Chore Camp for the kids. I placed the brochure on the table for the kids to look at when they got home from school. I told them a friend's kids were going to be attending the camp this summer and thought they might want to go as well. Bailey flat out told me she thought it sounded like a camp for bad kids. Cam said he didn't want to go because it sounded like it would be full of a bunch of jerks. Addison however, was ecstatic and was all on board to go. I guess that shouldn't have surprised me, my kids like to clean. After Chase read the testimony of one kid who had to clean up the mess the camp next door made while making smores, Bailey and Cam were mad, but Addie was unphased. Chase in fact had asked me what I would do if it backfired on me and they actually wanted to go. Well, we let it go on for quite a while with Bailey and Cam still protesting it and Addie all excited to weed, wash cars, and make her bed. We finally let them in on the joke at dinner time, it was pretty funny. Addie was dissappointed that it wasn't real, we told her she could do all the weeding and chores she wanted to around the house.

Addie can come here for "chore camp" if she wants.
